Activated charcoal
This natural product has been valued in Japan for centuries. Activated charcoal contains a high proportion of carbon, which reliably removes sebum, dirt and make-up residue. This ingredient is therefore said to cleanse skin, hair and teeth particularly deeply.
Top Coat
This term refers to a special polish for nails. It is designed to protect both the fingernail and the freshly applied color from unsightly scratches, dents and chipping. Another positive effect: the top coat gives colored nail polish a special luminosity. The product is simply brushed on after painting.
Microblading
This cosmetic treatment involves applying permanent make-up to the eyebrows. The specialist uses a scalpel, not a needle, to carve extremely fine lines into the skin and fill them in with a pigment. The result: fuller eyebrows that look completely natural thanks to the new technique.
Blushing
The trend of the year par excellence! Here, blush in a cool pink-pink shade is first applied to the cheeks in the usual circular motion. Important: don't apply too thickly. Use a second brush to blend the blusher up to the temples. This technique is intended to create an optical lifting effect.
Moisturizer
These are light creams, serums or gels that are specially tailored to the needs of dry hair or stressed skin. Valuable ingredients such as aloe vera and hyaluronic acid provide plenty of moisture and intensive care. Skin and hair appear more vital and supple. "Moisture" therefore means nothing other than "moisture".
Filler
Filler is derived from the English word "fill". A product with this name therefore always "fills" something; a nail filler, for example, evens out unevenness and grooves in the nail. Wrinkle fillers plump up wrinkles on the face and hair fillers provide more volume. However, fillers are also injected under the skin during cosmetic surgery to reduce lines or dark circles under the eyes.
Micelles
There are now many waters and lotions on the shelves that work with this ingredient. Micelles are tiny molecules that attract dirt particles and make-up residue like a magnet. And because they are so small, they also transport nourishing active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin.
Liquid Lipstick
... is a real beauty innovation. Liquid lipsticks are similar in texture to a lip gloss, but at the same time offer opaque and matte colors. They are applied like a gloss and dry very quickly. The result is extra long-lasting thanks to the intense pigmentation.
Antioxidants
... are vitamins and minerals that protect our body cells and ensure that our skin feels firm and smooth. Although our body has its own antioxidant system, it is overloaded by stress and environmental influences such as UV radiation. The result: wrinkles and skin damage. Creams with vitamins A, E and C and minerals such as calcium and zinc counteract this.
Frizz
Frizzy, fluffy and impossible to tame: Frizz is the name given to these hairy problems. It's English for frizz. Special serums and solutions that are combed into towel-dried hair provide smoothness.
Primer
They create an ideal base for cosmetics. The light, colorless texture covers the skin like a smoothing film. This allows make-up and powder to be applied more evenly and last longer. There are also special lip and eye primers that prevent color from settling into fine lines. Eyelashes can also be prepared for mascara application with a primer.
Cushion make-up
The beauty trend originally comes from Asia and has now reached us. The secret lies in the cushion. This is a small sponge in a jar that is saturated with liquid make-up, blush or lip color. When pressed, it transfers the product to the enclosed pad in fine portions. This makes it very easy to apply the beautifying products.
Color Correcting
The technique is based on the theory of complementary colors. In other words, shades that can neutralize each other. The opposite of green is red - so green concealer is perfect for covering redness.
Eau Fraîche
The newcomer in the perfumeries. Eau Fraîche contains only 3 to 8 percent pure fragrance oils. Accordingly, they smell light and fresh and are therefore very suitable for spring. By comparison, an eau de toilette has 5 to 8 percent and an eau de parfum 8 to 15 percent pure fragrance oils. The higher the concentration, the more intense the fragrance.
