There is a large selection of beauty products in drugstores. There is something supposedly suitable for every skin type. But what exactly is in a face cream, body lotion, shower gel or scrub? The ingredients on the back are difficult for laypeople to understand. So why not just make your own scrub? Nina Moghaddam, 35, shows you how to do it in simple steps.

Make your own almond scrub

Ingredients

  • bowl
  • spoon
  • sugar
  • salt
  • Almond / olive oil
  • perfume oil
  • jar
  • label
  • pen
  • fabric
  • scissors
  • ribbon

Here's how it works:

1. fill the jar with equal parts salt and sugar.

2. pour into the bowl and stir in a little oil.

3. add a little perfume oil for a pleasant fragrance. Mix everything well.

4. pour into the jar and attach a piece of fabric around the lid with some raffia ribbon to decorate.
