Lip care in winter - hot tips for cold days

Our lips - when it's cold outside, they become dry and chapped particularly quickly. The right lip care is an absolute necessity in winter!

One way to keep your lips supple is to use a lip balm. Many people always carry it with them during the winter months. There are big differences in the quality of the individual products - if you choose a stick that contains beeswax and almond or jojoba oil, you are doing everything right. For winter sports at higher altitudes, the lip balm should also have a high sun protection factor. Otherwise, sunburn is also possible on the lips!

If the lips are already chapped or even bleeding, a lip balm is not suitable for winter lip care. In this case, a cream that promotes the healing of the skin and supplies it with lipids will help.

There's more to lip care in winter

If you follow a few lip care tips, you can avoid rough lips! For example, lips that feel dry or even tight should not be moistened with the tongue if possible - this dries them out even more. It is better to massage your lips with a soft toothbrush: use it to gently brush your lips. Dead skin cells are gently removed in this way - and the lips can regenerate more quickly. A little honey helps: applied to the lips before going to bed, it works wonders overnight! Wash off with water the next morning and then carefully pat your lips dry. Before leaving the house, be sure to apply a lip care product - such comprehensive lip care ensures that your lips stay soft to kiss in winter!
