Layering look: exciting layered looks for all weather conditions

Yes, yes, the summer. It's also unpredictable this year. On some days in the last few weeks, we've had temperature differences of up to nine degrees. Mind you, within a few hours. This calls not only for umbrellas and parasols, but also creative looks that defy the weather and, above all, are extremely versatile. Luckily, fashion expert and blogger Chrissie from Edelfabrik knows the best styling tricks for the layering look.

Clever layered looks are always in demand when summer comes to an end and fall arrives. It feels a bit like that at the moment. My credo at the moment: my look has to work when a) it's really warm and b) it suddenly gets cold.

Summer dress x 2 + jeans = layering look love

This look with two semi-transparent summer dresses over a pair of jeans works well. Let's go from cold to warm. The first layer I can safely leave out of this outfit is the felted wool coat. It was very cold in the morning and I threw the light, unlined coat on without further ado. When it got warmer, it was allowed to go.

If it had been really hot that day, I could even have taken my jeans off, because the length of the two dresses on top of each other would have made the look work even without trousers.

But it's not just the weather aspect that plays a role in my layering. I simply love beautiful layered looks. The silhouette is usually exciting, I can style great pattern mix looks and try my hand at fashion. Simple layered looks work in everyday life and I like to wear more striking versions when I'm in a good mood or on a particularly fashionable day.

What do I need to consider when layering?

The colors, patterns and lengths of the individual pieces you want to combine are important for a good layered look. The colors should harmonize as well as different patterns. Pay attention to these parameters and you will create outfits that create great tension.

Onion look with different shades of one color

For inexperienced layered look wearers, layering in different shades of one color is a good idea. At the moment, for example, you can find great blouses, shirts and pants in dusky pink in the summer sale, which can be wonderfully combined to create a great layered look.

Layering look styling tip: pay attention to the layers

Less is more - this rule also applies to the layered look. You should avoid too many layers. Three to four visible layers are usually enough to create an exciting look. Give the pieces enough space to work. Too little space between the individual layers usually makes the style too compact.

With these little tips, even newcomers to the layered look are sure to be able to combine beautiful layers. Have fun layering :)
