I am at home between the two beautiful seas, the North Sea and the Baltic Sea - so it's clear that maritime fashion is particularly close to my heart. When I was younger, however, I couldn't identify with this fashion trend at all. Back then, I associated it more with the typical sailor look. And I certainly didn't want to look like a sailor in my early 20s. Now that I'm in my mid-40s, maritime fashion is very welcome. Once again, you can see how tastes change over time. However, I also think that today's style is far more modern than it was over 20 years ago. It is no longer tied to a specific age group. Blue and white stripes are now worn by many women of all ages.

Maritime fashion - versatile

The blue and white stripe look is simple and elegant with a touch of sportiness. In the photos, I present the maritime fashion that has been available at Tchibo since 12.07.2016. The look looks very different depending on the combination. The outfit with the striped shirt, white jeans and blue sneakers immediately conjures up images of a summer vacation with a sailing trip. The blue shorts and a white or striped shirt would be perfect for a beach vacation.

I particularly like the summery maritime dress. It is figure-hugging and looks slightly sporty with a touch of elegance. During the day, you can wear the striped dress casually with flat shoes and go for a walk on the beach or enjoy a cool drink at the beach bar. In the evening, the dress would look even more elegant with high heels and a chic handbag.

So what if you don't have a beach on your doorstep and your next vacation is still a long way off? Then of course you can wear nautical fashion and simply create a little vacation feeling.
