Depending on the cut, I sometimes find the little black dress a little boring or, as in my particular case, a little girly. To break through this look, I have resorted to the "dress over trousers" trick. The combination of a short, black corset dress and black 7/8 trousers makes the whole outfit a little more modern. Another advantage of this combination is that it's at least a little warmer on the legs at midnight if you want to admire the New Year's Eve fireworks outside.
The dress over trousers version was already frequently seen in numerous street style photos in the summer. There, the look was styled a little more rocky with jeans and loose-fitting dresses.
But I also think the elegant version of this combination, which seems quite unusual at first glance, is quite impressive. A famous representative of the mix is Emma Watson, who has already worn a great dress-and-trousers composition by Dior on the red carpet. Since then at the latest, it has become clear that wearing dresses with pants is absolutely socially acceptable. Of course, it is important to harmonize cuts and colors.
Shoes and accessories should also be chosen carefully. When choosing the shoes for my New Year's Eve outfit, I paid particular attention to the heel height. All ladies who like to dance at parties will understand my decision. A night of dancing in extreme high heels is only possible to a limited extent. To add a little more glamor to the Silverster look, I'm wearing eye-catching Art Deco-style rhinestone earrings. They go well with the floral pattern woven into the jacquard fabric. The black stretch belt is embroidered with rhinestones and sequins and is a real eye-catcher, visually breaking up the look in the middle. I combine it with a matching, eye-catching silver-colored clutch and my classic, black New Year's Eve look with a modern twist is ready to celebrate the new year in an elegant, slightly rocking and, above all, stylish way.
