Take styling breaks
Take styling breaks as often as possible or at least every now and then and avoid using a hairdryer, straightener or curling iron and let your hair air dry instead. If you can't do without a hairdryer, switch the appliance to a lukewarm temperature and don't hold it too close to your head.
As soon as you (do) use a styling tool, always (!) apply heat protection to your hair beforehand. It coats the hair with a nourishing protective film to prevent damage.
