Trick no. 1: Matte lipstick
Matte lipsticks are absolutely on trend right now. Your favorite lipstick doesn't have a matte finish? No problem: simply apply a little loose, translucent powder to your lips and you'll get the trendy matte look and make your lipstick last longer!
Trick no. 2: the perfect lip bow
For a perfect lip curve, we recommend that you first draw an X in the middle of your upper lip. Starting from this X, trace your lips as usual. This will emphasize your lip arch beautifully.
Trick no. 3: expressive smokey eyes
Smokey eyes look mysterious and elegant and are considered the evening make-up par excellence. The look is perfect with the following trick: finish your eyeliner with a small triangle towards the outer corner of the eye and blend it inwards. This will give you a particularly clean result.
Trick no. 4: the mysterious cat-eye look
There are countless techniques for the perfect eyeliner and ultimately every woman finds her own technique. However, we would like to recommend one trick in particular: Next time, use a spoon to help you. The handle serves as a kind of ruler for the straight, lower line of your eyeliner. The head part is perfect for drawing the upper curved line. With a little practice, you can achieve a particularly even result!
Trick no. 5: Apply mascara without smudges
You can reuse the spoon for this trick. Hold the head of the spoon over your eyelid and apply mascara as usual. This will prevent mascara stains on your eye make-up. And if something does go wrong, the small blemish can usually be easily repaired with a cotton bud.
Trick no. 6: Wake up your eyes
If you look into tired eyes when you look in the mirror, the following trick works wonders: simply line the waterline with white or beige kohl. This visually enlarges the eyes and makes your gaze shine. To thicken the lash line afterwards, go back to the classic black eyeliner.
Trick no. 7: Emphasize your assets with contouring
Contouring is the targeted use of lighter and darker make-up shades with the aim of giving the face more contour. It is important to place the shades in the right places. It is best to use the number 3 with its two semicircular arcs as a guide. With this simple basic shape, you can darken the sides of your face slightly and make it appear narrower. Start at the hairline. Draw the first arch past the eyebrow over the temple and finish below the cheekbone. Then draw the second arch towards the jaw. Then blend carefully to achieve a natural soft look!
Trick no. 8: Place concealer correctly
Many women use concealer too sparingly out of caution. For a natural effect, however, it makes more sense to apply it more generously and blend it in carefully. For example, if you want to conceal dark circles, apply the concealer in the shape of a triangle under the eyes and create a smooth transition to the foundation.
Trick no. 9: Apply the right amount of blush
Blusher is almost always applied as a finishing touch to make-up. And it is not uncommon to notice that a little too much color has landed on the cheeks. But be careful: before you try to smudge or even remove the blush, it's better to use your powder brush again. The powder residue on it can be used to inconspicuously take back the blush on your cheeks.
Trick no. 10: Give eye shadow more luminosity
It has probably happened to you before: you buy an eyeshadow because you are really excited about the shade. But when you apply it for the first time, you are disappointed to discover that it doesn't match the beautiful shade on your eyelid - it lacks coverage and luminosity. To make eyeshadow stronger and longer-lasting, it is advisable to moisten the brush slightly before applying the color. This makes the color pigments appear more intense. In addition, the eyeshadow can also be applied as eyeliner with a very fine brush.
