Do you love your eyes? Great, then set them off to great effect with eyeshadow. Do you think your face is too round and your nose too wide? Thanks to blush and contouring, you can slim down both in no time at all. These are just a handful of the clever make-up tips that we have pulled out of the cosmetics box for you, so to speak. Of course, all the tricks we reveal here have been tried and tested by professionals - so that you look flawless and radiantly beautiful.
The eyes: concealer & co. provide radiance
For the eyes to really shine, the base has to be right. That's why you should first prime your complexion with make-up. Concealer makes dark circles invisible. Use light(er) shades of eyeshadow; two shades are enough to make the eyes look bigger. Apply the lighter shade to the entire eyelid, place the darker shade in the crease and blend. If you like, draw an eyeliner. Finish with a generous coat of mascara. Tip: Highlighter in the inner corners of the eyes adds extra shimmer.
Shading: Cleverly placed color accents make the eyes look twice as big. First apply a light shade to the movable lid and blend out. Shade the crease with a darker shade and apply black mascara to the eyelashes.
Lighten: Dark shadows under the eyes quickly make us look tired and older. Apply a little concealer in cream or stick form around the eyes for a hello awake effect and work it gently into the skin with your fingertip.
Intensify: Small line, big effect! An eyeliner gives the eyes a frame. Whether it's an eyeliner pencil or liquid eyeliner is a matter of taste. It's best to prop your elbow up when applying make-up so that nothing blurs.
Wow eyelashes: Long eyelashes are also part of the perfect eye look. To visually lengthen them, first bend the lashes into shape using eyelash curlers. A base can be applied for more fullness. Then apply mascara to the lashes in zig-zag movements, first from above and then from below. The look is even more open if the lower lashes are also mascaraed once.
Make-up for droopy eyelids: If you suffer from droopy eyelids, you can visually enlarge your eyes with the right make-up tips. First, apply a primer or an eyeshadow base to the entire eyelid to prevent the eyeshadow from sliding into the crease during the day. Then apply a light-colored eyeshadow to the lid up to under the eyebrow. When applying make-up to droopy eyelids, apply a darker eyeshadow to the crease of the eyelid to shade it halfway around. This gives the eyelid more depth. To do this, pull the lid up slightly. Blend the eyeshadow out towards the eyebrow.
The nose: dark tones make it appear narrower
It should be small and fine. If you don't have a snub nose, simply make one up: first prime the entire face with foundation. Then paint on a straight line from the root of the nose to the tip using light beige, matt eye shadow. Apply bronzer or darker powder to the sides and shade, done!
Contouring:Contrasts conjure up a slimmer look
Perfect shape! Thanks to contouring, we can create the perfect face shape. Brown or bronze tones create depth on the temples, cheeks (cheekbones) and chin. After application, shade out softly so that no transitions are visible. The second step is to create lighter highlights on the forehead, bridge of the nose and cheekbones.
The cheeks: Blush instantly gives more freshness
Blush for a change! Yes, you read that right - a subtle blush looks totally charming and girlishly youthful. What's more, a touch of color like this instantly makes your face look fresher and more radiant. Rosewood and apricot shades are the most beautiful and natural. Apply the blush to the cheeks with a thick brush and blend it out towards the temples and hairline. A little on the bridge of the nose or under the eyebrows has an additional rejuvenating effect.
Great: You can also optimize the shape of your face with blush. Use bronzing powder to create a "3" from the temples across the cheeks to the chin, for example, to make these areas appear to recede into the background and apply it to the entire face for a sun-kissed vacation complexion.
The face: the highlighter sets shiny accents
No matter where we apply highlighter, the result is immediately visible and simply stunning! Above the cheekbones, it makes them look higher and more accentuated. It has a magnifying effect under the brows or above the cupid's bow of the lips. Important: Always apply sparingly first and reapply make-up if necessary.
The lips: Make up full lips with gloss
If you want full lips, you should choose the right texture and color. Glosses and lipsticks with a shimmer effect visually enlarge the lips. Lighter shades make us look more youthful and smooth out fine lines better.
