Make-up tips for the perfect complexion
Create the basis: Well-groomed, even skin is the basis for any make-up. That's why you should prepare it well for the make-up procedure beforehand. A mild enzyme peeling first removes dead skin cells and makes the skin velvety. Moisten the face and lather the exfoliating powder or gel onto the skin. Leave on for two minutes and rinse off. A light day cream with hyaluronic acid then protects the complexion from drying out. Apply a thin layer with your fingers.
Prime the complexion: Now color comes into play. The first step is to even out the complexion with make-up that matches the skin tone. The right consistency depends on the desired coverage and skin type. Apply a fine layer with a brush or puff from the center of the face outwards and blend well. This creates a natural effect.
Conceal blemishes: Only now can blemishes or shadows under the eyes be conjured away. To do this, apply a dab of concealer to your fingertip and gently pat into the relevant areas. This brightens the skin and makes it appear more even and refined.
The right make-up conjures up freshness
Delicate color accents and delicate highlights ensure rosy cheeks and a great glow!
Hello-wake-up effect: A touch of blusher and some highlighter really make the skin glow. First dust a little powder blush onto the cheekbones with a brush and blend the color thoroughly into the skin tone. The highlighter provides an extra kick of freshness: apply a little shimmer powder or liquid to your finger and apply sparingly to the cheekbones, forehead and bridge of the nose. Blur the transitions well.
It all depends on your type: If your skin is naturally cool and fair, blush shades in pink or rosewood are great. Warm apricot tones suit sunny skin types. The same applies to highlighter: cool mother-of-pearl tones suit pale skin, while gold is perfect for tanned complexions.
Make-up tips for expressive eyes
A wow look in the blink of an eye: With just a few make-up tips, we can make your eyes sparkle and shine!
They make us look beautiful: For a fresh and youthful look, beautifully emphasized eyes are of course the be-all and end-all. In everyday life, a thin layer of brown or black mascara is often enough. It coats and lengthens the delicate lash hairs and opens up the eyes. This immediately makes us look more awake and rested. Eye make-up further emphasizes the effect. In the evening, the colors can be a little stronger and richer. Darker shades such as violet, anthracite, midnight blue or black make a splash here. During the day, on the other hand, more subtle natural shades such as beige, golden brown or gray are the best choice.
Prime the eyelid: First emphasize the entire movable eyelid with a beige powder eyeshadow. This works well with a special eyeshadow brush. Also apply some color to the inner corner of the eye and under the brow bone. This looks dewy and makes the area appear slightly larger.
Shade out the crease: A bronze-brown shimmer eyeshadow adds the finishing touch to the look. Dab color onto the crease of the eyelid with a small rounded brush. Then blend the powder in both directions, eyes and ear. There should be a fine color gradient from a lighter inner corner to a more accentuated outer corner of the eye
Sparkling look: A delicate eyeliner with white kajal (in drugstores, approx. 3 euros) makes the eyes shine brightly. To do this, draw a fine line close to the upper lash line and then blend the color softly with your fingertip. Then apply a white dab to the inner corner of the eye
Make-up tips for seductive lips
A perfectly accentuated mouth rounds off any make-up look. With so many different lipstick colors and textures, it's not easy to find the right shade. The following are general make-up tips for lips:
Gloss conjures up fullness: lipsticks and glosses with a shimmer effect make the mouth look fuller and appear fresh.
Matt lasts a long time: Matt colors with strong pigments do not slip on the lips so quickly. Perfect for going out.
Light makes us look younger: The softer and more subtle the shade, the more youthful it makes us look. A nude shade evens out fine lines and makes the mouth look plumper.
Preparation: First, gently remove any dry flakes of skin from the lips. To do this, moisten a toothbrush and run it over your closed mouth for around 10 to 20 seconds.
Outline the contour: To ensure that the finished result is precise and that the color does not run into the tiny lip lines, trace the contour with a lip liner in a matching color and, if necessary, adjust the shape, i.e. lightly outline or underline.
Make-up: Now it's the lipstick's turn. Brush a dab of lipstick onto a special lip brush and apply. Do not use too much color, otherwise it will settle on the teeth.
Make it last longer: Loose powder sets the look. To do this trick, simply press a tissue over your mouth and dust a little powder onto it with the brush. Remove the tissue and then apply a second coat of lipstick. It simply lasts longer this way.
Align the contours: If the upper lip is narrower than the lower lip, it can be made fuller with lip liner. Trace the shape slightly above the real lip contour, then fill in with lipstick.
