"A Summer in Oxford": heartfelt cinema with Mira Bartuschek and Dominic Raacke

After five years, historian Nina returns to Oxford, where she studied. There she is haunted by the past in two ways - and gets caught between two men.

The heart-wrenching drama begins in the cab, where historian Nina meets her old love, Prof. Rothwell (Dominic Raacke). He has invited her to give a series of lectures on escape trauma. During her student days, Nina and the professor became closer when she helped him translate German letters.

Real letters of fate

These letters are real letters of destiny, as they will also connect Nina with another man - the young Daniel (Michael Raphael Klein). While Nina is still in the dark, Daniel sneaks into her seminar "Loss of home and trauma". Nina may not realize it, but young Daniel's past has long been the subject of her research due to his grandmother's escape from Germany. And it is precisely for this reason that he now attends her lectures as a supposed student.

Best ager versus young blood

Nina and Daniel become friends - but can they become something more? After all, Nina is about to fall in love with her old professor again. Even though he is married! The road ahead for Nina is rocky - and not just at Oxford itself, where her career path is paved with strict rules and uncertainties. In love, too, the young woman is caught between two men and two worlds.
