Brigitte Nielsen has given birth to her fifth child at the age of 54. Together with her husband Mattia Dessi, she celebrated the birth of their first daughter on Friday, June 22, 2018, in Los Angeles.

"We are overjoyed to welcome our beautiful daughter into our lives," the couple confirmed the happy news to People magazine. "It's been a long road, and it's been so worth it. We are more in love than ever."

Brigitte Nielsen and Mattia Dessi's first child together has been given the sweet name Frida. It is Brigitte Nielsen's fifth child. She already has four grown-up sons from her previous marriages. She has been married to husband number five, Mattia Dessi, 15 years her junior, since 2006. So five seems to be the lucky number for the Swedish-born actress.

Nielsen only announced her pregnancy at the end of May via Instagram and Twitter with a photo of herself in a tight white dress with a baby bump.
