Funkuhr media library tip for the weekend: "The Quartet - The Murder House"
Two dead bodies in an old building in Leipzig pose many mysteries for "The Quartet". Quarrels, lies, secrecy - every resident of the apartment building is suddenly a suspect. Antje Engel is found beaten to death in the basement, while her neighbor Hannes Glöckl dies of poisoning at virtually the same time. Could this be a coincidence, or is the death of one person connected to that of the other?
Bernd Siebert (Martin Brambach), Antje Engel's partner, quickly becomes the prime suspect. The two were constantly arguing. Hannes Glöckl may have died of carbon monoxide poisoning because he apparently let his barbecue cool down in the apartment. But almost everyone in the eccentric household had a motive for murder.
The fear of being evicted by the landlord Robert Krampe (Johann von Bülow) hovers over all the intrigues. It is not easy for detective Maike Riem (Anja Kling) and her team - Pia Walther (Annika Blendl), Christoph Hofherr (Shenja Lacher) and Linus Roth (Anton Spieker) - to unmask the real culprit. The more the four members of the Leipzig homicide squad delve into this idiosyncratic microcosm, the more complex the case becomes.
