Funkuhr media library tip for the weekend

Two new films in the "Ella Schön" series start on Saturday in the ZDF media library:

This is what it's about:

Two women. One: Ella (Annette Frier), Asperger's autistic, aspiring lawyer, analytical and ruthlessly honest. The other: Christina (Julia Richter), single mother, café owner, chaotic and intuitive. Their lives are linked by fate; they share a home and everyday life. "Ella Schön" warmly and humorously tells the unusual story of two dissimilar people who enrich the lives of the Fischlanders on the Baltic Sea in very different ways.

The first new episode "Baptism of fire"

Ella is in shock: the aspiring lawyer with Asperger's autism loses her home in a fire and with it her shared flat with her friend Christina and her children.
After the initial shock, Ella moves into a hotel and Christina and the children move in with her mother on her houseboat. Although the strictly rational Ella is convinced that the loss of her home and surroundings won't affect her, it soon becomes clear that the lack of caregivers and familiar structure is affecting her more than she expected. When things go so badly at her boss Kollkamp's law firm that he has to let her go, her relationship with her on-off lover Jannis (Josef Heynert) suffers badly and she has the prospect of returning to her old job in Frankfurt, Ella's foundations on Fischland are shaken.

But the excitement doesn't stop there. Christina's son Ben (Oscar Brose) is involved in a hit-and-run car accident caused by his girlfriend Juli. Ella has to defend Juli in court, but first she has to uncover the young couple's secret ...
