"Jungle Camp" 2018: the candidates

Tina York (63)
The pop singer was discovered at the age of 16 at her sister Mary Roos' wedding. From then on, her career was unstoppable. From the 70s onwards, Tina was a permanent guest on all the big TV shows about pop music.

Giuliana Farfalla (21)
The transgender model was born a boy, but already knew at the age of seven that she would rather be a girl. After her first gender reassignment surgery, she became a contestant on Heidi Klum's "Germany's next Topmodel".

Ansgar Brinkmann (48)
The soccer legend, better known as the "white Brazilian", played for thirteen different clubs during his career and made 59 appearances in the Bundesliga. Now he is the sixth ex-professional footballer to join the jungle camp squad.

Jenny Frankhauser (25)
Daniela Katzenberger's half-sister was part of the cult blonde's popular docusoap before trying her hand at singing. Now she wants to use the jungle as a weight loss camp.

David Friedrich (28)
He was sure to win the rose in the last season of "The Bachelorette". However, his love didn't last long - the musician and the Bachelorette called it quits in October 2017.

Tatjana Gsell (46)
The society lady was once the most photographed woman in Germany. She worked as a model, TV presenter and reality star. For a long time, things have been quiet around the widow beautician, but now she wants to draw attention to herself again in the jungle.

Matthias Mangiapane (34)
The reality show "Ab ins Beet" not only made Matthias famous, but also his partner Hubert and his tanning salon "Caribic Sun". However, the jungle camp is not his first celebrity show; he has also appeared on "Sommerhaus der Stars".

Daniele Negroni (22)
You could listen to the German singer with Italian roots in the ninth season of "DSDS". There he stood out with his colorful hairstyles and his great skills, but in the end it was only enough for second place.

Natascha Oschenknecht (53)
The successful cosmetics entrepreneur has long since ceased to stand in the shadow of her famous ex-husband. The mother of three has even published her own biography entitled "Augen zu und durch".

Sandra Steffl (47)
The actress and presenter has already appeared on "Quatsch Comedy Club" and hosted a show called "Hot Jokes". Away from TV, her passion is burlesque dancing. She even founded Berlin's first burlesque group.

Kattia Vides (29)
The native Colombian came to Germany because of love. When that broke up, she tried her luck as the Bachelor's ladylove. Unfortunately, it was only enough for 4th place.

Sydney Youngblood (57)
With hits such as "If Only I Could" and "Sit and Wait", the American singer stormed the German charts from 1998. After more than 30 years in the music business, the entertainer now wants to break new ground and is venturing into the jungle.

Innovations

• Until now, there has only ever been one jungle phone where the candidates could let off steam. This year there will be two phones. If two candidates have a row with each other, they can both go to their own phone and rant about each other, gossip, let off steam...
• In addition, new retreats for intimate chats, so-called quiet oases, will be set up. Hopefully even more juicy and, above all, private details will be revealed there.
• There has already been gossip about the luxury items in the run-up to the show: some of the ladies probably don't want to do without their make-up utensils even in the deepest outback.
• From this year, all fans who can't get enough will be able to watch the live talk about the jungle fun directly afterwards on RTLplus and simultaneously on RTL.de and TV NOW "Die Stunde danach".
