"Lena Lorenz": New episodes with Judith Hoersch from September

Last spring, ZDF announced that Patricia Aulitzky would be leaving her role as midwife Lena Lorenz in the series of the same name and would be replaced by Judith Hoersch. She can be seen in the lead role in four new episodes from September 5, 2019.

In the first episode, the midwife is faced with a gripping case. Melanie is expecting a child, but not from her husband Christoph, but from a rapist.

"Lena Lorenz" with a new leading actress

For four years and in a total of 14 episodes, Patricia Aulitzky played the role of the somewhat headstrong but passionate midwife. Against the dreamlike backdrop of the Berchtesgaden Alps, the young woman has to deal with special fates time and again and impresses with her authentic nature and natural instinct. After the last episodes of "Lena Lorenz" with Aulitzky as the protagonist were shown in fall 2018, fans of the popular local series can now finally look forward to new episodes - with a new cast.

Four new episodes of "Lena Lorenz" filmed

Filming with Judith Hoersch in the lead role has been underway since July. Now four new episodes are in the can. The first episode aired on ORF on August 6. From September 5, 2019, at 8.15 p.m., "Lena Lorenz" will also go into the next round on ZDF.

This is what the first episode is about

In "Lena Lorenz - A New Beginning", the midwife first has to say goodbye to her fiancé, because Quirin Pankofer (Jens Atzorn) is moving to Munich. In Himmelsruh, however, the next assignment is waiting for Lena. The expectant mother Malanie (Tessa Mittelstaedt) was raped at a party and has become pregnant despite taking the morning-after pill. However, her 15-year-old daughter Pia and husband Christoph have no idea. Now Lena has to help her tell her husband about the incident and that her rapist is, of all people, an old friend of the couple. When Christoph confronts Mario Berghammer, however, he claims that he had an affair with Melanie. If only Lena could at least tell Quirin about this shocking story. Unfortunately, he is fully occupied with his new job at the Munich architect's office.
