Mary Roos ends her career

Mary Roos wants to end her career at the age of 70. The pop star has now announced this to her fans in a personal post on Facebook. She is celebrating her farewell with one last tour "Abenteuer Unvernunft".

"Since last year, my decision to end my musical career at the age of 70 has been maturing," she writes on her Facebook profile. "I have been able to experience such wonderful, exciting decades that have brought me so much success, especially in recent years."

60 years on the show stage

In fact, the entertainer can look back on around 60 years in show business. At the age of just nine, the singer, whose real name was Rosemarie Schwab, released her record "Ja, die Dicken sind ja so gemütlich". After numerous singles and live performances under her new stage name Mary Roos, she made her breakthrough in 1970 with the song "Arizona Man".

Farewell tour in spring

Fans can see the two-time Eurovision Song Contest participant on tour until June 2019. And she will join cabaret artist Wolfgang Trepper on stage at the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg for another three weeks in the play "Nutten, Koks und frische Erdbeeren".
