It's his last appearance as Chief Inspector Theo Clüver: On Monday, January 15, 2018, 8:15 p.m., ZDF will show Robert Atzorn in his signature role as Theo Clüver in "Nord Nord Mord - Clüver und der leise Tod" for the last time. This will be the farewell to the charismatic actor.

For six years, Robert Atzorn went on the hunt for criminals as Chief Inspector Theo Clüver in "Nord Nord Mord", thrilling millions of viewers. Now it's over. On Monday, January 15, 2018, the 72-year-old will be seen in his role for the last time.

"Nord Nord Mord - Clüver and the silent death"

In his last case, Clüver has to deal with the murder of a villa owner. During the viewing of a luxury villa, the seller's body is found in the garden house, which initially makes the property unsaleable. A catastrophe for the young estate agent Susanna Wagner (Mina Tander), who has only recently started her own business and is dependent on the commission. Her former boss Bendix Böckelmann (Wilfried Hochholdinger) comes under suspicion. Did he want to take revenge on her because she had poached customers from him? Clüver's colleague Hinnerk (Oliver Wnuk) is set on the estate agent, who doesn't seem to be playing with open cards either. Meanwhile, Clüver thinks about how much longer he actually wants to chase after criminals. Shouldn't he use the time for himself, his daughters and the really important things in life?

A final farewell to show business

While Clüver is only toying with the idea of quitting his job, actor Robert Atzorn had already made this decision at the end of last year. The 72-year-old announced his retirement from the public eye in December. He said he never wanted to stand in front of the camera again and would not make any more TV appearances.

Robert Atzorn is one of our great actors who has led films and series on ZDF to success. I would like to thank him for having a decisive influence on our Sylt crime series in a total of eight films

said ZDF program director Norbert Himmler on the actor's departure from the crime series "Nord Nord Mord". Robert Atzorn became famous through the TV hit "Unser Lehrer Doktor Specht". In the series, the charismatic actor from 1992 made women's hearts beat faster for seven years and played his way into the hearts of his viewers. He also made a name for himself as a Tatort detective.

New tasks for Robert Atzorn

Atzorn spoke pragmatically to Bild about the reasons for his complete retirement:

I have worked for 50 years. There is also something else in life - my family, my grandchildren. I don't want to die on stage or in front of the camera. That's enough now.
