Aslan and Freiberg form the third team of investigators, replacing police chief Claudia Fischer (Janette Rauch) and police sergeant Tarik Coban (Serhat Cokgezen). Both actors are very popular in their roles.
Pinar Aslan's role: She grew up in Berlin and is a police officer with heart and soul. She has cut herself off from her criminal family and stands uncompromisingly on the side of the law. After three years of study and two years as a patrol officer in Neukölln, Pinar is a competent policewoman who has already been through various trials by fire.
Kristian "Kris" Freiberg is a true Hamburg boy. He grew up in the problem district of Wilhelmsburg. He is actually a trained tradesman, but after his apprenticeship he first traveled around the world. He began his training shortly before reaching the age limit for joining the police force. Kris brings a lot of life experience with him - and yet he is a complete beginner.

Aybi Era and Marc Barthel are now part of the "Notruf Hafenkante" team alongside Sanna Englund, Matthias Schloo, Rhea Harder-Vennewald, Bruno F. Apitz, Hannes Hellmann and Harald Maack. Gerit Kling, Fabian Harloff and Manuela Wisbeck can be seen as doctors and medical staff at Elbkrankenhaus.
Filming will continue until December 2018 and the new episodes are expected to be broadcast in fall 2019.
