He wanted to make people happy

Costa Cordalis celebrated his 75th birthday in May. Now his loved ones and fans have to say goodbye to the pop icon. "We are all deeply saddened by the loss," Lucas Cordalis told the Berliner Kurier. "My father was a wonderful person who always stood up for others. He wanted to make people happy and he succeeded in doing so. We will all miss him very much."

Cordalis was in poor health

The cause of death has not yet been announced. However, Cordalis was repeatedly ill in recent months and had to go to hospital several times. Most recently, the singer was on stage at Jens Büchner's (†49) charity concert. According to Bunte.de, the 75-year-old appeared severely weakened. Lucas even had to carry his father onto the stage.
