Princess Beatrice royal wedding: pictures and info

Wedding with the British royals! On Friday, July 17, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi said "I do" in the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor. Info and the official wedding photos!

Princess Beatrice under the hood

The wedding between Princess Beatrice, 31, and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 37, was a bit of a surprise because the public was not informed of the date in advance. The celebration therefore only took place in the smallest of family circles.

The newlyweds looked radiant in the wedding photos - they left the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor hand in hand through a sea of white, pink and apricot flowers. Queen Elizabeth, 94, and Prince Philip, 99, did not miss their granddaughter's wedding and can also be seen in a photo - at a distance in Corona times. However, their smiles clearly showed how proud they were of Beatrice and how happy they were to be married to the handsome Edoardo.

Tiara vintage dress from Grandma Elisabeth II

Betrice wore a beautiful, cream-colored vintage dress from 1962 with a diamond-studded bodice by Norman Hartnell. The special feature: It was designed at the time for Queen Elizabeth II, who wore it to the film premiere of "Lawrence of Arabia" at the Odeon Leicester Square in London. The Queen's personal stylist and her favorite tailor are said to have adjusted the size of the dress for Beatrice and added the delicate puffed sleeves at the bride's request. The tiara also has history: Queen Elizabeth II wore both at her own wedding in 1947, as did Princess Anne. Beatrice wore her red hair down, which was a good choice as it showed off the tiara particularly well: tradition and modernity were wonderfully combined.

Ceremony and guests

In addition to the Queen and her husband Prince Philip, the couple's parents and siblings also witnessed the ceremony. Despite the current media hype surrounding Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice was walked down the aisle by her father. The best man was Edoardo's three-year-old son Christopher "Wolfie".
