No celebrations for the Queen's 95th birthday

After the death of Prince Philip, who turned a proud 99 years old, Queen Elizabeth is not in the mood to celebrate. The couple were married for 73 years and he was her closest confidant in every situation. Although the Queen has always put her life at the service of the monarchy and traditions are the foundation, she will break some rules on her birthday today, April 21, due to the special circumstances.

No gun salute

This year there will be no gun salutes in honor of Queen Elizabeth. Every year, 41 gun salutes are fired in Hyde Park and 21 at the Tower of London. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this was not done for the Queen's last birthday.

No new photo of Queen Elizabeth

It is truly regrettable that there will be no new photo of the Queen - normally a new picture is published every year on her birthday.

Birthday without Harry

After there were many indications that Prince Harry would stay in London for the Queen's birthday, he is now said to have left after all , according to RTL. His pregnant wife Meghan and son Archie are waiting for him in America. It had been fervently hoped that he would not only comfort his sad grandmother, but that the dust would be settled after the scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey. Has Harry now closed all the doors behind him?
