Sascha Hehn alias "Captain Victor Burger" leaves the "Traumschiff"

After six years in the role of Captain Viktor Burger on "Traumschiff", Sasha Hehn (63) is leaving the ship. Following the departure of Heide Keller at the beginning of the year and the unexpected death of Siegfried Rauch (†85) in March, fans of the successful ZDF series now have to say goodbye to another "Traumschiff" veteran.

A new addition and a farewell: While Barbara Wussow joins the crew as the new hotel director Hanna Liebhold (here with Harald Schmidt as cruise director Oskar Schifferle and Nick Wilder alias Dr. Wolf Sander), Sascha Hehn alias Captain Victor Burger says goodbye to the "Traumschiff".

Series comeback as captain

From 1981 to 1987, Sascha Hehn "worked" as chief steward on the "Traumschiff". He was then seen on board the luxury liner as its twin brother Stefan Burger until '91. But it was not to be a farewell forever. In 2013, series creator Wolfgang Rademann (†81) brought the actor back as captain.

A farewell forever?

It remains to be seen whether we will now have to say goodbye to Victor Burger for good or whether we can still hope for a series comeback. After all, Hehn doesn't necessarily seem to be leaving on good terms, as he told bild.de:

Unfortunately, the series has lost its charm in the last two years. Maybe it's gone with Wolfgang Rademann - I don't know, but I'd like to keep mine for a while longer.

The TV captain hangs up his hat

Clear words from the TV captain, who does not wish to elaborate on the reasons for his sudden departure for contractual reasons. However, his efforts for the series were not crowned with success. "Believe me, I've tried everything in the last six years to bring the product forward innovatively, but I haven't succeeded," said the 63-year-old in the interview.
