"Charlotte" and "Werner Saalfeld" have had a wild on-off relationship for 13 years. But this too is soon to come to an end.

It was the darkest chapter of her life

After the murder of her sister "Beatrice" and the difficult time in custody, "Charlotte Saalfeld" (Mona Seefried) draws new strength in Africa to put what happened behind her. When she returns from Tanzania, her husband "Werner" (Dirk Galuba) hopes for a new start together at the "Fürstenhof" - but after everything that has happened, "Charlotte" feels more alien than ever in her home...

The curtain falls in mid-May

After almost 13 years, Mona Seefried says goodbye to "Sturm der Liebe". In episode 2921 (expected broadcast date: May 16, 2018), she will be seen one last time as "Charlotte Saalfeld". This marks the end of an era: the Vienna-born actress has been part of the main cast of the popular telenovela since the first episode. "It wasn't an easy decision for me," says Seefried about her departure. She continued: "But after so many years, it's time for something new. I'm leaving with a smile and a tear in my eye."

With a smile and a tear in her eye

Her role as hotel owner was characterized by numerous ups and downs. A real gift for the Austrian actress: "With Charlotte, I was able to experience everything a character in a series can experience, and I'm very grateful for that. As they say, you should leave when it's at its best - and that's exactly what I'm doing."

Farewell to colleagues

The Bavaria Fiction production is letting Mona Seefried go with a heavy heart. "I would like to thank Mona for her many years of service and the great Charlotte Saalfeld. She is a veteran of 'Sturm der Liebe' and we will miss her. I wish her all the best and exciting new projects," says producer Bea Schmidt.
