Cold feet before the wedding
Emma and Paul (Felix Everding) actually get on brilliantly, but on the day of their wedding, the bride can't shake off her doubts. She speeds off on a bicycle, leaving behind a bewildered wedding party. However, they soon follow in her footsteps and a turbulent weekend begins.
Emotional chaos among the wedding guests
Emma and Paul are not the only ones in emotional chaos. The groom's mother (Sabine Vitua) also suddenly feels that her husband (Rainer Sellien) is becoming increasingly distant from her due to his abusive behavior. Emma's mother Frida (Katja Weitzenböck), on the other hand, feels overwhelmed by her job as a travel guide, as her husband Per (Heio von Stetten) has mainly taken care of the upbringing of their two daughters Emma and Maren (Muriel Bielenberg) due to her many travels. And then Frida meets Hans (Michael von Au), a childhood acquaintance she thought had disappeared
Emma, on the other hand, has to come to terms with her feelings once again when she meets the likeable waiter Moritz (Niklas Osterloh) after her escape from the altar. Will the young woman find in him everything she always thought she was missing?
