Successful as an actor and voice actor
But Völz was not only "Captain Bluebear" - he also breathed life into Hollywood greats such as Walter Matthau, Peter Ustinov, Mel Brooks, Peter Falk and numerous Disney and cartoon characters with his voice. Völz was also impressive on the outside as a pithy type. Völz could look back on a long career as a dubbing actor as well as a film, series and theater actor. He was busy well into old age. Völz became a star in the 1950s with series such as "Raumpatrouille Orion" and "Stahlnetz". One of his most popular roles was the servant in the ARD series "Graf Yoster gibt sich die Ehre" (1967). He has also appeared in numerous more recent films such as "Der Wixxer" (2004) and "Neues vom Wixxer" (2007), "Hui Buh, das Schlossgespenst" (2006) and "Rennschwein Rudi Rüssel" (2007).
Happily married for 60 years
Völz is also the grandfather of Daniel Völz (33), the current "Bachelor" from the RTL show of the same name. Völz's grandson is now separated from Kristina Yantsen (25), who received the last rose in the matchmaking show.
As much in love as ever, Wolfgang Völz and his wife Roswitha celebrated their diamond wedding in 2015 after 60 years of marriage. The popular actor turned 87 years old.
