Kinderlachen founders Marc Peine (r.) and Christian Vosseler announced this year's winners of the KIND Award and the program of the 12th Kinderlachen Gala at the press conference. Tony Marshall, Make-A-Wish Deutschland e.V. and Rosemarie Pösl will receive the award at the event on November 26 at the Westfalenhallen Dortmund.

Tony Marshall: Active for 17 years

Together with his daughter Stella, Tony Marshall has been involved with his foundation for people with physical and multiple disabilities in Baden-Württemberg since 1999. The singer is committed to ensuring that they too can lead a self-determined and independent life. The foundation promotes new forms of living and activity so that people with disabilities can fulfill their personal and professional wishes and dreams.

A personal concern

Our daughter was born with a handicap. At the time, we received a lot of support from Lebenshilfe Baden-Baden, which does great and self-sacrificing work. But there is still a lot of room for improvement in Germany when it comes to care and support for people with disabilities,

Tony Marshall explains his motivation.

Major award for a special prizewinner

Tony Marshall has already achieved a great deal with his social commitment - a reason for Kinderlachen e.V. to present the singer with the KIND Award. "I am very pleased about the award. It helps us to gain greater attention for our cause," says a delighted Tony Marshall.

The award will be presented on November 26, 2016 at the Kinderlachen Gala in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle.

At the traditional gala auction, valuable unique items will once again go under the hammer, including a guitar signed by rock legend Bryan May, a Liverpool FC training shirt also signed by Jürgen Klopp and a painting by Herbert Grönemeyer, painted and signed by Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis.
