Modern life is often loud and hectic. So it's no wonder that more and more people are longing for peace and quiet. Some even spend their vacation in a monastery to get away from it all. Pink and light blue have a calming effect

As colors have a great influence on well-being and can ultimately provide a little relaxation in everyday life , the leading American color institute Pantone has declared soft pink and light blue to be last year's spring trend. The reason: they are calming, radiate security and warmth and therefore fit perfectly into our often stressful times. And because numerous fashion designers around the world are taking their cue from the Institute, there are many pretty tops, skirts, shoes and bags in these enchanting shades this year.

Green is also a balm for frazzled nerves. That's why we feel so comfortable in the forest. All tension evaporates and we perk up. That's why it's so advisable to get out into nature as often as possible. Relaxation exercises are hardly needed anymore.

Facebook is a big time waster

Smartphones, tablets and PCs are great inventions. But unfortunately they are also very tempting. And so, when we're still on Facebook in the evening, two or three hours fly by. And that means we don't switch off properly. We don't get enough rest and we're not really fit the next day. How about turning everything off by 9 p.m. at the latest and listening to some nice music instead?
