SingingWitt: the renowned employee choir celebrates its fifth anniversary with a charity concert

It's no secretthat singing makes you happy. If you can also do something good with it, the effect is twice as great. Numerous members of the Witt Group in Weiden know and live this, who meet regularly for rehearsals and concerts and give the audience goosebumps with songs ranging from classical to pop. This year SingingWitt is celebrating its fifth anniversary.

This year, the employee choir is celebrating its fifth anniversary with two charity concerts on November 2 and 3.

How it all began...

The history of the SingingWitt choir, founded in 2011, began with smaller performances at internal company events. Today, around 60 employees of the Otto subsidiary rehearse once a week during their lunch break under the direction of Stefanie Zühlke-Schmidt, Managing Director of Purchasing at the Witt Group, for two to three large public concerts a year. The proceeds go to social institutions and projects.

Five years of SingingWitt

This year, the choir is celebrating its fifth anniversary. It goes without saying that there will be a big charity concert to mark the occasion. Under the motto "Pop meets Classic" and accompanied by the Hofer Symphoniker orchestra, SingingWitt is inviting guests to the Max-Reger-Halle in Weiden in November. And because the date was completely sold out within a very short time, there will now be an additional concert - also for a good cause, of course. Tickets for November 2, 2016 are - still - available at www.nt-ticket.de. The proceeds from the birthday event will go to the "Lichtblicke" campaign.
