Day 5 of the mindfulness challenge: consciously notice things

Whenever you look at the bracelet today, consciously take a moment. Say "Now ..." and complete the sentence with what you are aware of at this very moment.

Live fully in the here and now

Mindfulness means simply being there, in contact with yourself and your environment, opening yourself up to what is happening right now and letting it have an effect on you. Being aware and open in the here and now. It's about the "how", the attitude with which you do and perceive something. Today you are not changing your thoughts or yourself. You allow what happens to happen without judgment. You simply perceive things more consciously.

Recognize and solve a social problem

Being mindful of the present moment seems like a counterbalance in our society of acceleration and multitasking. We have simply forgotten how to simply live in the moment without already planning the next moment. The focus can suddenly be on a thought, an emotion, a physical sensation, a smell, a taste or a sound. For example: "Now I can feel the warm sun shining on my face. Now I hear a dog barking. Now ..."

Have a mindful day with lots of beautiful "now" moments.
