The Mindfulness Challenge Day 6: Experience with all your senses

The mindfulness challenge leads you to a more balanced, happier you. Being fully in the moment and feeling life - that is true happiness. The way to achieve this is mindfulness. Take part in our 7-day challenge! The sixth day of the Mindfulness Challenge is all about consciously using your senses again.

Mindfulness challenge inventorSandra Boltz knows all about doubting, being overwhelmed and the feeling of seeing no light at the end of the tunnel. She has found out how to get out of such situations. How anyone can change their life - by changing the way they look at it. Because happiness at the touch of a button doesn't work. But everyone can become more open to happiness, can recognize the good in their own everyday life and what is good for them. After yesterday's fifth day was all about enjoyment, today all your senses will be addressed.

6th daily task: Give your life one - or rather five - senses

Go through the day mindfully. Whenever you look at your bracelet, pay attention to the tiniest details and perceive them with all your senses .

For example, when showering, pay attention to the warm or cool water on your skin and the scent and foamy consistency of the shower gel and shampoo. How does your coffee taste? Do you hear birds singing outside when you open your window? Be fully present in the present moment.

Pay attention to the everyday: how does your breakfast bread taste, what is actually on it? What taste does the toothpaste have? How does the wind that blows in my face on the way to the bus stop feel? What does the air smell like this morning? And does it smell different on the way home? Experience everything consciously on this day!

Nothing different, but simply different

So the exercise is not to do anything different today, but to do it differently. This mindfulness in everyday life enables us to step out of brooding thoughts and perceive the actual moment. We feel more relaxed, our stress levels drop and we have more energy.
