The perfect Christmas gift: give the gift of time

Just before Christmas, the question always comes up: what should I get as a present? It can be a real headache - after all, it should be something original for your loved ones. How about something irreplaceable that you can't buy, advises our happiness expert Dr. Sandra Boltz: give yourself and others the gift of time.

Christmas is just around the corner again and the question of the right gift drives you into crowded stores, in front of full shelves or causes hours of searching through the countless offers on the Internet. You rush back and forth and so the most contemplative time of the year is accompanied by stress and flashing neon signs. Do you know this?

So how about something really special that you can't find in any department store and that nobody can buy with money? Something that we all often lack: a little time.

Time is a precious commodity. You can simply let it pass, fill it with stress or consciously enjoy it. Moment by moment.

So make time for things that make your life more valuable. Give and share your time with others. Because we should spend as much time as possible with the people who mean something to us. Turn time into valuable time by spending an evening cooking a new recipe, having brunch together or taking a trip into nature. Give the other person the most valuable thing you have, your time.

And the best thing about it: you are giving yourself a gift! Because time spent together creates lasting and beautiful memories, strengthens our relationships and simply does us good. So why not pack some very special gifts this year, namely ones that contain time together. For yourself and your loved ones. With this in mind, I wish you a wonderful Christmas season.
