Consciously perceiving the now
"Once I'm on vacation, have reached my desired weight, have a bigger apartment....then I'll be really happy." Do you know that? We are constantly postponing happiness to the future, constantly planning the next moment in the expectation that everything will be better from then on. But we are living now. And it is precisely this now that we need to consciously perceive. Otherwise we will miss the moment we are in.
So let's take a look at all the good things around us today and what we can be grateful for. And that means both the big and the small positive things in our lives. To be generally grateful for what we have, even if our lives are not one hundred percent perfect.
Happiness may already be here
All the little gifts that we encounter and accompany us throughout the day. We just have to let them into our consciousness. Because happiness may already be there, in the laughter of our children, the fragrant cake that we have enjoyed or the feeling of being woken up by the sun.
Let's consciously enjoy the feelings of happiness in the little moments. A kind word, a smile, the bright blue sky - let's enjoy them and savor them in the present moment.
What makes us happy and content?
Happiness research describes happiness as "subjective well-being". This means that happiness means something different for each individual. So let's look inside ourselves more often and pay attention to what makes us feel good and happy.
Let's use all our senses to perceive what is around us right now. What do we see? What do we hear? What do we feel? What good things are there?
Let's welcome happiness with open arms and let it in - now!
