Are bruises after coronavirus vaccination dangerous?
Corona vaccinations, like all other vaccinations, can have certain side effects in the first few days: The arm may ache, and you should also expect mild cold symptoms after the corona vaccination. Bruising is also frequently mentioned in this context. However, hematomas after injections are nothing unusual and are therefore initially harmless. Just like bruises caused by a bump, these usually disappear within a few days.

How you can prevent bruising
If you have often noticed that you get bruises around the injection site after injections, there is a very simple trick: cool! The cold causes the blood vessels to contract, which prevents the blood from expanding. However, never apply ice or cold packs directly to the skin, but wrap both in a tea towel. Otherwise, frostbite may occur on the skin.

What to do if a bruise has already formed?
Here, too, you can use a simple trick to prevent further expansion. Now it's time for heat instead of cold, because the blood storage should be stopped and distributed. Warm compresses help with this. Home remedies such as apple cider vinegar or rubbing alcohol also help because they stimulate blood circulation. To do this, make a compress and place it on the affected area. Another tip: an ointment with arnica can help, as the medicinal plant has a decongestant effect.
Caution: As already mentioned, the bruises will disappear within a few days. If this is not the case or if other symptoms occur, you should consult a doctor.
