Corona vaccination: usually 2 appointments
With the exception of the vaccine from Johnson & Johnson, all vaccines from Biontech and Co. must be vaccinated twice. The second appointment takes place at the first appointment. There is a period of around three to six weeks in between. Now the vacation season is slowly approaching, and many people want to travel relatively spontaneously due to the easing of restrictions. So what if the appointment for the second coronavirus vaccination is to take place during your vacation?

Postponing your coronavirus second vaccination: only urgent exceptions are possible
Appointments for the first coronavirus vaccination depend on various factors, such as prioritization or availability of the vaccine. However, the second appointment is made directly on site at the vaccination centers so that protection against corona is guaranteed by the second vaccination. In this way, planning is carried out to ensure that the required vaccines are available on that day in any case. The second appointment can therefore only be postponed if an absolutely urgent appointment is due or if you are acutely ill. Urgent appointments include, for example, professional appointments that cannot be postponed. Court appointments are also included.
Vacation is not a reason for postponing an appointment
The reason is simple: vacations can be planned and therefore do not have to take place at the time of the second vaccination. To ensure that you receive full vaccination protection, you should therefore make sure you attend the second vaccination appointment and plan your vacation accordingly. Health comes first, which employers and the self-employed should also be aware of!
