Forehead wrinkles: What they reveal about your health
Of course, if you frown for years and decades, you will develop wrinkles. A no-go if you want to prevent this! However, fine wrinkles in the upper part of the forehead can also indicate problems with the stomach and bladder, as they are connected to the organs. Pimples and skin rashes in the lower forehead area, on the other hand, can indicate a food allergy.

Wrinkles on the forehead: signs of heart disease
Some wrinkles are actually worrying because they are the cause of real health problems: deep horizontal forehead wrinkles are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. These are the results of a study presented by Dr. Yolande Esquirol at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2018 in Munich, according to tz.
Content of the study
Over a period of 20 years, French researchers led by Esquirol examined a total of 3,200 working people, all of whom were healthy at the start of the study. The depth of wrinkles was measured regularly during this period. Within the 20 years, 233 of the 3,200 test subjects died - and it was found that their wrinkle depth was significantly higher. The risk of people with deep forehead wrinkles dying from cardiovascular disease was found to be ten times higher than for people with smooth faces.
How the number and depth of forehead wrinkles are related to heart disease or heart health could not be conclusively clarified. According to Esquirol, the blood vessels in the area are so fine that they are susceptible to plaque accumulation. This could probably be interpreted as the first signs of arteriosclerosis.
