Many sufferers even have to live with restricted movement or pain on a daily basis. The pain can become so severe that a normal life is no longer possible. If, for example, joint pain is "only" caused by osteoarthritis, i.e. inflammatory joint wear and tear, natural remedies can help in many cases and replace artificial painkillers with their often severe side effects.
Poison ivy: the natural remedy for rheumatism
One example of an effective natural remedy for rheumatic complaints is the medicinal substance urushiol. This special active ingredient is extracted from the oak-leaved poison ivy. Taken as drops ("Rubax", available over the counter in pharmacies), the active ingredient unfolds its power from within and has a pain-relieving effect on complaints in joints, muscles, bones and tendons.
The application is very flexible
The plant belongs to the sumac family, which is mainly found in North America and North Asia as well as in certain areas of South Africa. Poison sumac is a tall shrub and has long leaves from whose young shoots the active ingredient is extracted.
The remedy can be taken preventively or for acute complaints. This makes its use very flexible. The natural remedy is also a valuable aid for inflammatory rheumatism. However, it should be used in combination with the preparations prescribed by the doctor.
Important: Never omit the remedies prescribed by the doctor, especially in the case of genuine rheumatism, as they counteract the cause of this disease and prevent permanent damage to the joints.
