Sabrina tests the juices from "pressbar"
Admittedly, I was a little skeptical about this juice cure. But curiosity won out. Would I get through three days without solid food? Would I be able to turn off my food cravings and would my body even be able to join in the fun? Especially after several friends and colleagues had told me that they had not lasted longer than 1.5 days, I was gripped by ambition.
So on day 1, I was full of motivation to prove to myself that I had a little stamina. And in fact, I didn't find it difficult at all to give up breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only thing I missed was the taste of my morning coffee. Instead, I had a fresh orange, carrot, apple and ginger juice.
I quickly realized that the recommended additional two liters of water or herbal tea were also very easy to drink, although I usually need a reminder app to drink . But the body gets what it needs, so "listen" carefully.
I probably overcame the biggest hurdle on the very first evening when I met up with friends for dinner - in my case, more likely for tea. Between deep-fried wontons and baked duck in coconut sauce, I stayed strong and was a little proud of myself.
Anna-Lisa tests "Kale and Me"
So today really is the day. From today onwards, I'm actually not allowed to eat anything "real" anymore. The idea alone makes me a bit anxious. After all, eating is one of my favorite hobbies. It has to be said that I eat a healthy diet as far as possible, but I don't deny myself sweets from time to time. But going completely without food? I don't know...
In the last two days, on the advice of Annemarie Heyl from "Kale and Me", I have been eating more consciously and more lightly, so that the changeover to liquid foodshould be easierfor me. Will that really be the case? I'm skeptical, but I'm keen to experiment. And that's what's getting me through the first day of the juice diet pretty well: I'm highly motivated.
The first juices, the bottles are conveniently numbered, taste great - number 1 Pamela Pine is my favorite - and even in the evening it's not a big problem to give up my usual meal. Amy Almond (No. 6) rounds off the first day of the juice cure, I wasn't hungry at all today. I had imagined it would be different. And even the much-predicted headaches due to the caffeine withdrawal didn't occur on my first day - first interim result: everything is great!
