Mint oil

What it works against: For headaches, muscle and nerve pain, itching, colds and bronchitis.

How to use: Apply 3 drops to the affected area and massage in. Drizzle 4 drops into hot water and inhale.

Lavender oil

What it works against: It calms the nerves, helps with skin conditions and gastrointestinal complaints.

How to use it: Put 3 drops on a piece of sugar and swallow. Or rub it into your temples.

Rose oil

What it works against: It relieves pain, fights bacteria, relieves cramps and gives you a peaceful night's sleep.

How to use it: Add 2 drops to a cup of water and drink. Rub 2 drops of oil into the skin.

St. John's wort oil

Jasmine oil
