A few quick exercises every day help to strengthen the veins and keep our legs fit.

Calf massage

Stimulates blood circulation and helps to strengthen the veins: Ideally, you should sit down in a relaxed position and knead your lower legs vigorously for 5 minutes. Also good: massage the legs from the bottom up and vice versa with a massage roller (specialist shop).

Aqua gymnastics

The pressure in the water is similar to that of compression stockings, the blood can flow faster through the veins. Almost all local swimming pools offer aqua gymnastics with special vein training.

Cycling

Place your arms next to your torso. Now lift your legs up and then pull your knees as close to your chest as possible. Now cycle in the air for five minutes, forwards and backwards, with your toes stretched out. This strengthens your circulation and muscles.

Feet up

If you feel that your legs are heavy and tired, simply put your feet up. This relieves the venous valve, as this position facilitates the return flow of venous blood to the heart and allows the discomfort to subside quickly. You can also circle your feet to strengthen the venous pump.

Alternating showers

In the shower or bath, direct the warm water jet from the foot on the outside of the right leg to the thigh and back on the inside, then repeat with cold water. Change legs - repeat a total of three times.
