Thalasso: Health from the sea

The English doctor Richard Russell wrote his doctoral thesis on the healing power of seawater in 1750. He began to treat his patients with it - with success. Word spread and everyone wanted to support their health in this way. Heiligendamm, the first seaside spa, was founded here in 1793.

Thalasso ingredients

Thalasso is ancient Greek and means "sea". Everything that the oceans have to offer is used for a cure: Water, silt, algae, sand. Mud packs, sea salt baths, sand peelings and seaweed drinks are designed to detoxify the body, tone the skin and regenerate the body as a whole. The sea air, rich in moisture, iodine and salt, is also good for the bronchial tubes and lungs.

Thalasso against diseases

Among other things, cardiovascular diseases, joints, respiratory diseases, bronchial disorders, rheumatism, chronic constipation and skin problems are treated. A genuine thalassotherapy treatment always takes place by the sea with fresh and untreated seawater. We have many providers on the North Sea and Baltic Sea, and locations in France, Spain and Tunisia also offer thalassotherapy. Addresses e.g. at www.wellnessurlaub.com/thalasso-urlaub
