Mango, the vitamin A bomb: what the tropical fruit can do

Ten years ago, this tropical fruit was almost impossible to find here. Today you can find them almost everywhere. And it's worth grabbing, because the mango is a real vitamin bomb.

Covers the daily requirement of vitamin A

Mangoes not only taste delicious, they also have the highest proportion of provitamin A of all types of fruit. A mango of around 200 grams already covers the daily requirement of 1 milligram. The provitamin is converted into vitamin A in the body.

Strengthens the immune system

This is important for cell renewal in the skin, mucous membranes and cartilage tissue. It also strengthens the immune system and improves eyesight.

One mango also provides around three quarters of the daily vitamin C requirement.
