Sugar and starch are reduced during the diet. This keeps insulin levels low and the body has to obtain the energy it needs from fats and proteins that are more difficult to metabolize. The metabolism is switched and attacks the fat deposits on the stomach, legs and bottom. Even science confirms that this strategy is the best way to lose weight: low carb makes you lose weight quickly.

Low carb: lose weight quickly with these foods

If you want to lose weight quickly with low carb, take a look in the fridge and pantry and check which foods can stay in there:

Meat and sausage: It doesn't matter whether meat and poultry is lean or fatty - it's always low carb when unbreaded. Sausage (in moderation) is also allowed on the table, sliced poultry in particular is great for lazy cooking.

Fish and seafood: Salmon, trout, prawns and the like are delicious, quick to prepare and go well with many dishes.

Vegetables: With the exception of potatoes and sweet potatoes, all varieties are suitable. If you're in a hurry, frozen mixes are practical.

Fruit: Small amounts of up to 100 g directly with a meal are okay. Exception: banana, dried fruit and pomegranate.

Pulses: Beans, green peas, chickpeas, lentils etc. provide protein and good, long-chain carbohydrates.

And what else? Eggs and dairy products (preferably the full-fat variety) are also part of a low-carb diet. Soy products, nuts, herbs and oils are also allowed

Low carb for fast weight loss

For years it was said that those who eat a low-fat diet save the most calories and therefore lose the most weight. But this diet rule is not true and is outdated. A comprehensive analysis by Harvard Medical School (USA) of over 500 weight loss studies with a total of over 680,000 participants around a year ago showed that people on a low-fat diet lose less weight in comparison. Low-carb diets came out on top with an average weight loss of around 6.6 kilos compared to a normal diet. Even diets with a higher fat content melt away the kilos if the low-carb rules are followed.
