
Improve digestion
First thing in the morning after getting up, massage your stomach in a clockwise circular motion. Ideally with your hands and some homemade detox oil. Just 5 minutes works wonders - even after eating!
Detoxify and deacidify the body
To detoxify the body, have a regular detox day with exotic fruits: spread 1 pineapple (500 g), 2 mangoes (600 g) and 3 kiwis (150 g) over at least 5 meals. With the concentrated combination of enzymes, vitamins and minerals, the fruit boosts your metabolism and fat burning and flushes waste products out of the tissue. Tip: To detoxify the body properly, avoid coffee on this day!
Relieve the liver
Nothing boosts the detoxification work of this organ as effectively as a liver compress: if possible, soak a towel in hot water (ideally with a little salt) before going to bed, wring it out and place it under the right costal arch. Place a dry cloth and a hot water bottle on top. Leave to work for 30 to 45 minutes and repeat daily for a week.
Bowel cleansing
Treat yourself to a cup of low-fat natural yoghurt (150 g has only 75 kcal) as a detox snack in between detoxing your body. This feeds all the good gut bacteria that protect you and your body.
Clearing your skin
Whether with a brush massage or a special detox scrub, the main thing is to get your circulation going and your skin glowing. However, you should always apply olive oil or cream afterwards to prevent the body from drying out.
Detoxify the body by flushing the kidneys
In addition to drinking plenty of still water, experts also recommend a week-long tea cure with goldenrod (pharmacy): simply put 1 to 2 teaspoons in a cup, pour boiling water over it and leave to infuse for around 10 minutes. Drink 2 to 3 cups a day. This helps your kidneys to flush out excess water and, above all, toxins.
Detoxify tissue
This smoothie is really unbeatable for this: Blend 2 handfuls of baby spinach, pulp from 1 avocado and 1/2 pineapple, juice from 1 lime, 2 tablespoons of dried spirulina algae (e.g. pharmacy) and 1 pinch of salt with 2 cups of water in a blender until finely pureed. Thanks to the abundance of vitamins, minerals and secondary plant substances, the detox shake gives you beautiful, wonderfully firm skin. Famous beauties such as actress Gwyneth Paltrow and model Alessandra Ambrossio swear by it!
