Preserve the shape

To keep shoes and bags in their original shape, simply crumple up old newspaper and stuff the accessories with it. A positive side effect: the paper absorbs unpleasant odors.

Keeping fruit fresh

Wrap apples in old newspaper and store them in a dry place. This will protect the fruit from rotting and you can enjoy it for a long time to come.

Keep windows shiny

For streak-free results, clean windows with a mixture of vinegar and water and then wipe dry with the newspaper.

Pick up glass splinters

Moisten the newspaper, fold it and wipe it over the floor. The glass splinters will stick to it.
