It should be crease-free, please: A shirt and blouse that line up nicely and without any creases. Fortunately, with a few simple steps, this can now be achieved without too much effort. Around 39 percent of Germans consider ironing to be the most annoying household chore - yet they spend an average of three hours a week at the ironing board, fighting their way through mountains of laundry. Spin less

When washing shirts and blouses, set the spin cycle to 800 revolutions - this is gentler on the textiles and they also come out of the drum still damp and malleable. Shake out the clothes vigorously and then hang them up smoothly and without creases. Ironing is often no longer necessary.

Using the dryer

If several items of clothing that you want to wear soon are heavily creased, take an atomizer and spray them with water. Put them in the dryer for about 10 minutes, then you can take them out wrinkle-free and slip them straight in.

Try the ice cube trick

Put creased laundry into the dryer together with a handful of ice cubes and leave it to work for around five minutes on the warmest setting. This produces a fine steam that will quickly remove the creases from your clothes. This also eliminates the need for additional ironing.

Using hot air

Are you in a hurry when you discover residual creases in your blouse in the morning? Hang the blouse up near the shower or bath and briefly turn on the hot water until steam is produced. The laundry will be steamed smooth and crease-free.
