Cake remover

Finally, a clever method if the fresh, cooled cake sticks to the tin. Heat the outside of the cake tin with a hairdryer for about a minute, then turn it over with a flick of the wrist - the cake will come off by itself.

Glasses former

A great trick for making slight corrections to bent plastic temples on glasses: Blow-dry the temples, gently bend them into shape and hold them in place until they have cooled down completely.

Dent remover

It's hard to believe, but even minor car panel damage can often be undone with a normal hairdryer, saving you a trip to the garage. To do this, blow-dry the dent from the outside for a few minutes and carefully press it out from the inside. This works best if a second person helps.
