Goodbye heat-free days
Temperatures above 30 degrees, up to 12 hours of sunshine a day, no cooling in sight - while schoolchildren are happy about the heat-free hours at the pool or quarry pond, employees in the office have no choice but to bury the dream of heat-free hours for good. Even at home, the longed-for cooling is not waiting, because in midsummer the temperatures hardly drop below 20 degrees even at night - bad sleep is inevitable. Summer often comes with a few side effects.
Cooling down, but please without excessive energy costs
So how do you cool down on hot summer days without putting too much strain on the household budget? Does it always have to be an air conditioner? No, say the E.ON experts! Because: Air conditioning systems are the purest energy guzzlers and can quickly cost up to 70 euros per year. There is another way.

Try cooling down with a humidifier in the hot summer months. At just over one euro per year, it is around 98% cheaper than the classic air conditioning system. This will save you around 68 euros per year.
The air conditioner is no longer the only appliance you can use to regulate the temperature in summer. Many other appliances work more efficiently and save energy at the same time,
says Johanna Lehner, E.ON energy expert.
And if all else fails, just do as the koalas do. They hug Australian trees to cool off for a short time.
