With the right steps you can save a lot of time in the kitchen, bathroom and living room!
1. don't use washing-up liquid in the kitchen
As a general rule, clean from top to bottom, otherwise you will keep stirring up dust that will fall down. Don't use washing-up liquid on the front of the kitchen, use neutral detergent instead - it doesn't leave any streaks. Wipe dry immediately afterwards.
2. refrigerator parts in the machine
Do not clean everything individually. You can also put the shelves and drawers in the dishwasher. Once the fridge is empty, wipe it out with a fresh, sterile cloth.
3. dusting is best done with a damp cloth
Advantage: A damp cloth does not stir up the dust. Also practical: antistatic microfiber cloths (drugstore, approx. 10 euros) - they attract even the finest dust particles like a magnet.
4. tackle limescale in the bathroom with vinegar
First scrape off thick deposits on the shower wall with a plastic scraper and then clean with a cloth and vinegar cleaner.
5. shaving foam makes the mirror shine
Large mirror in the hallway? Super trick: Spray the surface with shaving foam. Leave on for 10 minutes, then polish with kitchen paper or a microfiber cloth.
6. streak-free windows with a rubber squeegee
Make a lye solution with water and washing-up liquid, soap the windows. Remove with a rubber squeegee and dry. For large areas, it is worth using a window vacuum cleaner (from 50 euros).
7 Vacuum: always vacuum straight ahead ...
First remove all objects from the floor and then vacuum in a straight line, as when mowing the lawn. Then you don't have to vacuum over one spot several times unnecessarily.
8. only mop the floors at the very end
Reason: The floor gets dirty again and again during cleaning. The quickest way to do this is with a wide microfiber mop. Clean the corners of the room first, then the middle. Not randomly back and forth, but in even figure-eight movements.
Which cleaners you need
Disinfectant, plastic cleaner, shower cubicle spray ... There are countless special cleaners in the drugstore. We think so: You don't need any of them. These three will do:
Neutral cleaner: Also known as all-purpose cleaner. This will get all floors (except wood) and most surfaces clean again quickly.
Vinegar/lemonic acid: Use mainly for the bathroom. The acid dissolves limescale and urine scale thoroughly.
Scouring milk: Also available as a powder and removes stubborn or encrusted dirt, for example from stainless steel sinks or worktops.
