With a bank loan
Have you inherited a large sum of cash and would like to pay off a bank loan early? This is not a problem for installment loans taken out after June 11, 2010. However, your bank will demand compensation for the lost interest. If the loan is still running for twelve months or longer, the bank may charge a maximum of one percent of the outstanding amount. Older loans can be terminated without fees with a notice period of three months.
When buying a car
For new cars, a fee of 15 percent of the purchase price is due. In the case of used cars, the dealer must prove that he has suffered a loss as a result. Which is almost impossible...
For cell phones
If you have a 24-month contract rather than a prepaid contract, you can pass it on to a friend. Cell phone contracts can be rewritten for a small fee (depending on the provider). If you can't find anyone among your friends, try eBay. Always cancel cell phone contracts in good time, even if you want to extend them. You can usually negotiate better conditions.
With insurance
Here you have a two-week right of withdrawal. Cancellation at a later date takes effect at the end of the insurance year. This begins with the validity of the contract. There are exceptions, for example, if the rate is increased. In this case, a special right of termination applies within four weeks.
In the gym
Annual subscriptions are usually offered here. However, you can cancel before the end of the contract if you move to another city, for example. Or present a medical certificate. However, if the illness, e.g. a broken leg, is only temporary, the contract is only suspended for this period.
